Highlights of the DTI-USAID Opportunity 2.0 Agreement Signing (Video)

On May 18, 2021, the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry formalized an agreement with USAID Opportunity 2.0 to collaborate and pursue common goals of making enabling the vulnerable Filipino youth access much-needed training and services on entrepreneurship.

This collaboration will make sure more OSY will access content on:

  • Business start-up and management
  • Design thinking for entrepreneurship
  • Coaching and mentorship
Following this milestone, DTI’s Youth Entrepreneurship Program will integrate Opportunity 2.0’s Be Your Own Boss curriculum, which develops young people’s core skills in business planning and management. This includes design thinking for entrepreneurship, training the youth to adopt a business development approach that focuses on end-users’ needs.
The joint initiative will serve Department of Education ALS and TESDA youth and will be piloted in Opportunity 2.0’s 12 sites. This will later be scaled across the country to reach more aspiring youth entrepreneurs through DTI YEP.
