A host of personal and environmental factors affect young people’s learning and earning outcomes. To help vulnerable youth overcome these barriers, they must be addressed holistically, tending to the complex economic, social, and personal factors that affect their trajectories in life.
In addition to strengthening government agencies and mechanisms that serve out-of-school youth in the Philippines national to local levels, O2 has also ensured that other actors surrounding young Filipinos should likewise be supported.
As such, a grants program is incorporated into USAID Opportunity 2.0’s programming, aiming to enable youth-serving organizations, training services providers, and higher education institutions to serve OSY in communities better.
