What’s a Local Labor Market Assessment or LLMA?
LLMA is one of the tools that USAID Opportunity 2.0 introduces to Youth Development Alliances in the cities it works with. Through the LLMA, members of the Alliance can collaboratively study the situation of the city’s labor market, specifically which industries offer the best opportunities for youth’s participation. Through multiple ways of data gathering from desk review, surveys, focused group discussions, and a series of validation workshops, the LLMA’s findings and recommendations guide cities in designing youth workforce development programs with all local stakeholders.
